ヨハネの第一の手紙１章

ヨハネの第一の手紙 1:1  初めからあったもの、わたしたちが聞いたもの、私たちの目で見たもの、私たちがよく見て手でさわったもの、いのちの言について――

　 1:2  このいのちが現れ、[1]わたしたちがそれを見たので、そのあかしをしています。すなわち、父と共にいましたが、今やわたしたちに現れたこの永遠のいのちをあなたがたに告げているのです。

 1:3  わたしたちは、見たもの、聞いたものを、あなたがたにも告げ知らせています。それは、あなたがたも、わたしたちの交わりを持つようになるためです。わたしたちの交わりとは、父、そして御子イエス・キリストとの交わりのことです。

 1:4  私たちがこれを書いているのは、[2]あなたがたの喜びが満ちあふれるためです。

1:5  わたしたちが[3]彼から聞いて、あなたがたに明らかにしている伝言はこのことです。神は光であって、彼には少しの暗いところもありません。

 1:6  私たちが神と交わりを保っていると言いながら、やみの中を歩いているなら、偽っているのです。真理を行っているのではありません。

1:7  しかし、彼が光の中におられるように、わたしたちも光の中を歩いているならば、わたしたちは互に交わりを保っており、そして、[4]彼の御子、イエスの血が、すべての罪からわたしたちをきよめているのです。

　 1:8  もし、[5]私たちが、自分には罪がないと言っているなら、それは自分を欺いているのです。すなわち、真理はわたしたちのうちにありません。

 1:9  もし、わたしたちが自分の罪を告白しているならば、彼は真実で正しいかたですから、その罪をゆるし、すべての不義からわたしたちをきよめて下さいます。

　 1:10  もし、わたしたちが罪を犯したことがないと言うなら、わたしたちは彼を偽り者としているのです。彼の言はわたしたちのうちにありません。

 1:1  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life,

 1:2  (for the Life was revealed, and we have seen it and bear witness, and show to you the everlasting Life, who was with the Father and was revealed to us),

 1:3  that which we have seen and heard we declare unto you, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

 1:4  And we write these things to you so that your joy may be full.

 1:5  And this is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

 1:6  If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

 1:8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

 1:9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

 1:10  If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.
