１ペテロ１章（欽定訳聖書）

1:1  ペテロ、イエス・キリストの使徒から、ポント、ガラテヤ、カパドキヤ、アジヤならびに、ビテニヤに[1]離散し[2]流浪している人たちへ、

1:2  父なる神の[3]予知されたところに従い、御霊によって、イエス・キリストの血の[4]そそぎと[5]従順のためにの[6]聖別された人たちへ。あなたがたに、恵みと平安とが豊かに加わりますように。

1:3  わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの父なる神の御名があがめられますように。彼は、その大いなるあわれみによって、イエス・キリストの死人の中からのよみがえりを通して、生ける希望のためにわたしたちを新たに生れさせ、

1:4  [7]私たちのために天に[8]保たれている、清廉で汚れがなく、色あせることのない[9]嗣業に入らせて下さったのです。

1:5  あなたがたは、[10]終りの時に啓示されるべく準備されている救のために、信仰により神の御力に守られているのです。

1:6  このことによって、あなたがたは大いに喜んでいます。今しばらくのあいだは、[11]必要なら、さまざまな試錬で[12]悲しまなければならないかも知れませんが、

1:7  それは、あなたがたの[13]信仰が、火によってためされれば滅びてしまう金よりも、はるかに尊いことが明らかにされ、イエス・キリストが[14]出現されるときに、さんびと栄光とほまれとに変るのです。

1:8  あなたがたは、[15]彼を見たことはないが、彼を愛しています。現在、見てはいないけれども、それでも信じています。あなたがたは、言い表すことのできない、光り輝く[16]喜びに踊っているのです。

1:9  それは、あなたがたの信仰の[17]成就である、あなたがたの魂の救を受けているからです。

1:10  この救については、あなたがたに来るべき恵みのことを預言した預言者たちも、たずね求め、また、注意深く調べました。

1:11  彼らのうちにいますキリストの霊が、前もってキリストの受難とそれに続く栄光と証したとき、彼らは、それは、いつの時、どんな場合なのかを調べたのです。

1:15  むしろ、あなたがたを召して下さったかたが聖であられるように、あなたがた自身も、あらゆる行いにおいて聖となりなさい。

1:16  なぜなら、こう書いてあるからです。「聖であれ、なぜなら、わたしが聖なのだから」。

1:17  そして、もし、あなたがたが、人をそれぞれの[22]働きに応じて平等にさばかれるかたを父と呼んでいるなら、地上にとどまっている時間を、おそれながら過ごしていなさい。

1:18  ご存じのように、あなたがたが、先祖たちから受け継いだ[23]空しい生き方から贖われたのは、銀や金のような滅びうるものによってではなく、

1:19  汚点も、しみもない小羊のようなキリストの尊い血によったのです。

1:20  キリストは、[24]世界の基の築かれる前から、あらかじめ知られていたのですが、この終りの時に至って、あなたがたのために現れて下さったのです。

1:21  あなたがたは、彼を死人の中からよみがえらせて栄光をお与えになった神を、彼を通して信じています。それは、あなたがたの信仰と希望とが神のうちにあるためです。

1:22  あなたがたの魂は、[25]聖霊を通して真理に従うことによってたましいをきよめられ、偽りのない兄弟愛をいだくに至ったのですから、[26]清い心で互に心から熱く愛し合いなさい。

1:23  あなたがたは、朽ち得る種からではなく、朽ち得ない種から、すなわち、神の[27]永遠に[28]続く、生ける御言によって新たに生れたのです。

1:24  「[29]肉はみな草のごとく、また、人の栄光は[30]みな草の花にようだ。草は枯れ、花は散る。

1:25  しかし、主の言葉は、永遠に[31]残る」。これこそが、あなたがたに宣べ伝えられた[32]み言葉なのです。

1Pe 1:1  Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourners of theDispersion of Pontus, of Galatia, of Cappadocia, of Asia, and of Bithynia,

1Pe 1:2  according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification ofthe Spirit, to obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

1Pe 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us again to a living hope through theresurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1Pe 1:4  to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in Heaven for you

1Pe 1:5  by the power of God, having been kept through faith to a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time;

1Pe 1:6  in which you greatly rejoice, yet a little while, if need be, grieving in manifold temptations;

1Pe 1:7  so that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire) might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

1Pe 1:8  whom having not seen, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing in Him you exult with unspeakable joy, and having been glorified,

1Pe 1:9  obtaining the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

1Pe 1:10  About which salvation the prophets sought out and searched out, prophesying concerning the grace for you;

1Pe 1:11  searching for what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ made clear within them, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow.

1Pe 1:12  To them it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us, they ministered the things which are now reported to you by those who have preached the gospel to you in the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

1Pe 1:13  Therefore girding up the loins of your mind, being sober, perfectly hope for the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

1Pe 1:14  as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance,

1Pe 1:15  but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy in all conduct,

1Pe 1:16  because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

1Pe 1:17  And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to the work of each one, pass the time of your earthly residence in fear,

1Pe 1:18  knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers,

1Pe 1:19  but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot;

1Pe 1:20  indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times for you,

1Pe 1:21  those believing in God through Him, He who raised Him up from thedead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.

1Pe 1:22  Purifying your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

1Pe 1:23  having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living Word of God, and abiding forever.

1Pe 1:24  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls out,

1Pe 1:25  but the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the Word preached as gospel to you.

2:1  ですから、すべての悪意と、すべての偽り、偽善、妬み、いっさいの悪口をやめ、  

2:2  新生児のように、純粋な[1]みことばの乳を慕い求めなさい。それによってあなたがたが成長するようになるためです。[2]

2:3  もちろん、あなたがたは、主が恵み深いかたであることを、すでに味わい知ったはずです。

2:4  なぜなら、彼は生ける石として来られたからです。彼は、人には拒絶さられましたが、神にとっては選ばれた尊い方なのです。

2:5  あなたがたもまたそれぞれ生ける石として、霊の家に築き上げられ、イエス・キリストにより、神に[3]よろこばれる霊のいけにえをささげるために聖なる祭司となりなさい。

2:6  聖書にこう載せられています、「見よ、わたしはシオンに、選ばれた尊い石、隅のかしら石を置く。それにより頼む者は、決して、[4]辱められることがない」と。

2:7  ですから、この石は、[5]信じているあなたがたには尊いものですが、不信仰な人々には「家造りらの捨てた石で、隅のかしら石となったもの」、であり、

2:8  また「つまずきの石、妨げの岩」なのです。しかし、彼らがつまずくのは、御言に不従順なのだからであって、彼らは、実は、そうなるように定められていたのです。

2:9  しかし、あなたがたは、選ばれた種族、[6]王なる祭司、聖なる国民、[7]彼の特別の民です。それによって、暗やみから驚くべきみ光に招き入れて下さったかたの[8]誉れを、あなたがたが語り伝えるためです。

2:10  あなたがたは、以前は神の民でありませんでしたが、いまは神の民であり、以前は、あわれみを得なかった者でしたが、いまは、あわれみを得た者となっています。

2:11  愛せられる人たち。あなたがたに[9]お願いします。あなたがたは、この世の旅人であり寄留者ですから、たましいに戦いをいどむ肉的な欲望を慎みなさい。

2:12  異邦人の中にあって、りっぱな行いをしなさい。そうすれば、あなたがたが悪人呼ばわりされた時に、あなたがたの良いわざによって、彼らがおとずれの日に神をあがめるようになるためです。

2:13  ですから、あなたがたは、すべて人の立てた[10]法令に主のゆえに従いなさい。最高位の王であっても、

2:14  あるいは、悪を行う者を罰し善を行う者を賞するために、王からつかわされた統治者であっても、これに従いなさい。

2:15  なぜなら、善を行うことによって、あなたがたが愚かな人々の無知な発言を沈黙させるのは、神の御旨だからです。

2:16  自由人として、自由をば悪を覆うために用いないで、神の召使として[11]用いなさい。

2:17  すべての人をうやまい、兄弟たちを愛しなさい。神をおそれていなさい。王を尊んでいなさい。

2:18  奴隷たちよ。心からのおそれをもって、あなたの主人に服従しなさい。善良で寛容な主人だけにでなく、不快な主人にも、そうしなさい。

2:19  なぜなら、もしだれかが、不当な苦しみを受けても、[12]神への良心のためにその悲しみを耐え忍ぶなら、それは賞賛に価することです。

2:20  とういうのは、もしあなたがたが自分の落ち度のために打たれたとしても、なんの誉になるのですか。しかしあなたがたが善を行って苦しみを受け、しかもそれを耐え忍んでいるとすれば、これこそ神のみ前に賞賛されることです。

2:21  なぜなら、この事のためにあなたがたは召されたのです。キリストも、[13]わたしたちのために苦しみを受け、あなたがたが御足の跡を踏み従うようにと、模範を残されたのです。

2:22  キリストは罪を犯さず、彼の口には偽りがありませんでした。

2:23  悪口を言われた時も、言い返しませんでした。苦しめられた時も、おびやかすことをせず、正しいさばきをするかたに、彼ご自身をゆだねておられました。

2:24  さらに、わたしたちのもろもろの罪を、木の上でご自分の身に負われました。それは、わたしたちがもろもろの罪に対して死に、義のために生きるようになるためです。その傷によって、あなたがたは、いやされたのです。

2:25  なぜなら、あなたがたは、羊のように迷っていましたが、今や、あなたがたのたましいの牧者であり見守り人のもとにたち帰ったのです。

1Pe 2:1  Therefore laying aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings, and all evil speakings,

1Pe 2:2  desire the sincere milk of the Word, as newborn babes, so that you may grow by it;

1Pe 2:3  if truly you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1Pe 2:4  For having been drawn to Him, a living Stone, indeed rejected by men, but elect, precious with God;

1Pe 2:5  you also as living stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1Pe 2:6  Therefore also it is contained in the Scripture: "Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner Stone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him shall never be ashamed."

1Pe 2:7  Therefore to you who believe is the honor. But to those who are disobedient, He is the Stone which the builders rejected; this One came to bethe Head of the corner,

1Pe 2:8  and a Stone-of-stumbling and a Rock-of-offense to those disobeying, who stumble at the Word, to which they also were appointed.

1Pe 2:9  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for possession, so that you might speak of the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

1Pe 2:10  you who then were not a people, but now the people of God, those not pitied then, but now pitied.

1Pe 2:11  Dearly beloved, I exhort you as temporary residents and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,

1Pe 2:12  having your conduct honest among the nations, in that which they speak against you as evildoers, they may glorify God in a day of His visitation, seeing your good works.

1Pe 2:13  Then be in obedience to every ordinance of men, because of the Lord, whether to a king as supreme,

1Pe 2:14  or to governors as sent by Him for vengeance on evildoers, but for praise on well-doers.

1Pe 2:15  For such is the will of God, doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish men;

1Pe 2:16  as free, and not having freedom as a cover of evil, but as servants of God.

1Pe 2:17  Honor all. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

1Pe 2:18  Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to those good and forbearing, but also to the perverse ones.

1Pe 2:19  For this is a grace, if for conscience toward God anyone endures grief, suffering wrongfully.

1Pe 2:20  For what glory is it if you patiently endure while sinning and being buffeted? But if you suffer while doing good, and patiently endure, this is a grace from God.

1Pe 2:21  For you were not called to this? For Christ also suffered on our behalf, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps,

1Pe 2:22  He who did no sin, nor was guile found in His mouth,

1Pe 2:23  who when He was reviled did not revile in return. When He suffered, He did not threaten, but gave Himself up to Him who judges righteously.

1Pe 2:24  He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.

1Pe 2:25  For you were as sheep going astray, but now you are turned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
